Kenny--Trials
Hi guys, To cut a long story short, I was pulling my wheel back to tighten my chain. It was nearly perfect, not too loose, not too tight. I then went to pedal kick and I heard a massive 'KLONK' and my chain was loose again but by bolts on my rear wheel were tight. I did get a new chain but I thought it had already bedded in. I also got a new echo sl freewheel two weeks ago but hasnt skipped once till today where it has skipped 5 times. Please help. Revolver
Sounds like you need some chain tensioners. Get some snail cams from tartybikes.

Vortexor
This is silly and my problem too the monty snail cams are too small to reach my bolt on my zoo lynx for when the chain comes loose I think ill get some bigger snail cams like V!Z ( i hope it works )
Little Yoshi
Just take out the bolts the snail cams sit against and put on a washer or 2.
modifiedridah2k9
You have an SL freewheel and it skipped 5 times? I thought those things were bombproof... You may have got one of the bad batch.
Mark W
That's impossible in that they were all retained by the factory. If your wheel's slipped forwards and your chain's loose, then it's pretty easy for your chain to skip over the teeth of your sprocket. Because of that I'd imagine it's more your chain jumping on your sprocket rather than the freewheel itself skipping. Could be wrong though! If you put a spacer under the head of the snail cam bolt you can effectively make the bolt bigger. If you're running smooth snail cams it may also be worth upgrading to toothed ones. Andy - seems strange that you need to do that much messing around with your Lynx. With 18:12 on mine, I could use a set of TR cams with no problems at all... See kenny i said that the chain was loose it slipped over the freewheel you chain could move bout 3-4CM up nd down so it had loads of movement to slip over the freewheel

Kenny--Trials
? Getting annoyed with snail cams The bolt that makes it so the snail cams have something to grab a hold of, put a washer under it so it makes the bolt slightly bigger.
