Canardweb
You must have noticed that I am looking for a new frame. I am looking for something good, with modern geometry, rigid, and nice if possible. I never actually thought about the Cannibal 3, which I really like since it has been out. But for some reason, I forgot it existed. What I would like to know please, is if you know if there are any problemes with that frame. If it breaks in a specific place, if you have been riding one, or if you know anything about it. Any input (in relation with the subject) will be welcomed! Onzaboymark, if you have heard of any of these frames breaking, please let me know!

3dd
Seemes like a fairly strong, heavy ish frame. I would consider new Atomz quark II. Looks lovely, nice geo and weight. If I haven't gone for rockman I would definetly gone for it.
josh barker
i ride a cannibal. the cannibal frames are really good, got mine off a friend second hand. they ride nice and you can tweek the way it rides with the adjustable geo's of the frame. the frame is very strong, no flex. the tension system is a bonus, hidden away so it doesnt get damaged from failed sidehops etc... the build quality of the ozonys frames are really good too, gussets/reinforcements where needed, good quality welding, very strong cnc'd chainstay yokes eliminate flex in the frame. no need for a mech hanger, integrated brake booster does its job very well . features the twin seat tubes which ozonys have used for years on many of there frames. ozonys had tested a prototype frame of the cannibal 3 for over 3 years (i think) with no problems. if you can get the cannibal 3 i would highly recommend it
Mark W
For the Quark 2, you'd need to most likely buy a new headset (£10+), the Quark 2 tensioner (£35), the tensioner bolt (£1-2), their rear hub (£50+) and then some spokes (£15-20) and potentially a wheelbuild (£10-15) just to be able to run that frame. It's not a cheap frame in the first place, but you've got to spend about £100 on extras just to be able to use it in it's most basic form... forteh
its 1.8kg, how is that heavy? its a good weight compared to some other frames Compared to the koxx skys and the rockman frames it is heavy, the original cannibal was only 1.65kg, that said you can still build a sub 9kg bike with a 1.8kg frame without a massive amount of effort
Canardweb
That's it then! I think I made my choice! Josh Barker, Did you have any issues building it? Onza Boy mark, will a Onza BB fit in that frame or do I have to invest in a new one? Thanks a lot guys!
Canardweb
It would fit in there. Depending where you buy it from you'll get one with it. The thing is that this frame is cheaper in a french shop. It's 490 EUR on spherebike where as in Tarty it's 539 GBP (which makes 650 euros thanks to xe.com). And I also need a new stem (VIZ 150*30°), and a headset. The total on spherebike would be 644 euros, where as it would approximately be 700 euros in Tartybikes. So, I don't think you will be able to match that price. I would have prefered your service, but my bank account prefers spherebike!

josh barker
Josh Barker, Did you have any issues building it? no, just a normal straight forward build . i find it better running the adjustable geo in the middle position, which is: 1085wb / 378cs / +40bb / 71.5°ha the only problem when building was the king rear hub, it has a quick release axle, and the qr skewer wont fit in the frame so had to have it tapped it and converted it to a bolt through axle (m6 thread) Edited August 11, 2010 by josh barker
