What Is A Good 20" Frame?

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I am looking into buying a new frame but not too sure which one is best.

Want a good price but also a light frame

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Awrite

On tarty bikes there is an onza comp 2010 frame which weighs only 1.474kg and costs £179. So this looks like it is good for price and weight and could be a good option.

Hope this helps.

dont go for the onza lol, flexy as f$CK!!

lynx is best as they will last forever like anyother zoo made (Y)

No offense man, but you only say that cos you have one.....and so do I as i love it and im sure you love your lynx lol.

I have had a go of a lynx and i dont like it as much, i don't know what it is, but its just horrible. But after being told different, surely its just me?

Yeah if you like the echo, go for it. It's a beauty, you will not be dissapoinnted. And zoo and echo are made by the same person, Deng. So they are nearly the same. But i still say Echo. Let us know what you get mate :)

Edit: Also yeah don't get an Onza unless you got a 4-bolt booster, cos they are flexy, badly flexy.

Kieran.

Yup i'm too small. But zoo is made by deng too, so shut up lol.

He said he loves them both, let him choose lol.

Your opinion Sam is the Zoo! lynx, mine is the Echo Lite. Are we biased much?

First thing you need to decide is what you can afford, then weigh up your options going on that!

Hey

Thanks for all your help.

I think I'm gonna go for the echo lite 09, i just prefer it to the zoo lynx.

I will be able to afford it in the next 2/3 months.

I think it is the best frame on tartybikes as it is a reasonable price for the weight it is.

Cheers

How long have you been riding?? If you haven't been riding long, keep your frame because you will start to do bigger stuff and smash up your frame. If you have a £250 frame and you dent it fairly quickly, your gunna be pissed.

Yeah i know what you mean.

Ive been riding about 8 months, but Im not a rough rider at all. I know as I get better I will try more rough stuff, but i could always get a downtube protector.

(My mate just bought a rockman slate 2 for his 26" bike, costing £450, and he's been riding as long as me )

Im in the process of upgrading my bike to make it much lighter and stronger and a frame is a vital part which can make the bike stronger and lighter.

Thanks for the advice though (Y)

i ride an onza one at the moment and i got to say its a good ride but the frame does flex like hell, me im going to go with an echo one havent got it yet not too long i hope, the only reason i choose this over the zoo is the colour as from that the both just the same to me. i just think the echo as more stule edge
