Special Sidehop Technique?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

Me and my friend Kieran (modifiedridah2k9) have been recently practising sidehops.

He said that if you go forwards by kicking and to the side that it isn't a sidehop, you basicaly have to backhop to the side.

So im a little confused :S

Is there a technique to sidehopping? Can you explain what to do when your sidehopping?

Do you kick or what? And no tutorial video's please, I find them hard to follow.

Thanks for taking time to read this post, and thanks if you can help,

Grant.

Hey guys

He said that if you go forwards by kicking and to the side that it isn't a sidehop - if you hop and go to the left or the right, of where you started, you did a 'sidehop', clue is in the title

you basicaly have to backhop to the side. - a strong kick will push you forwards slightly, no kick and you'll go backwards...both sidehops, but ideally you want to learn to go to the side with no forward/backward movement

So im a little confused :S

Is there a technique to sidehopping? - yes

Can you explain what to do when your sidehopping? - not half as well as a video can, pictures paint 1000 words

Do you kick or what? And no tutorial video's please, I find them hard to follow. - this video has words to read in as well, ignore moving images if thats off putting. yes you do kick

Thanks for taking time to read this post, and thanks if you can help,

Grant.
