freetrials661
Hey, I was just looking around on tarty bikes and saw the new because street bike. anyways, after looking at the pictures, it has vertical dropout, and what appears to be a useless derailleur hangar. I cannot imagine why they would do this. Anyone know more on the subject than I do?
isitafox
Confused??!! It has vertical dropouts and a mech hanger, so the mech hanger would be used to attach a chain tensioner.
Stan Shaw
The hanger isn't fitted for transit (or it gets bent), so it wasn't on there for the photos.
Muel
There are load of ways of tensioning with no hanger, I used to use one mounted on the hub bolt. (Came on a bike I bought from Tarty Adam). There's also the 74kingz style tensioner, or you could make a spoke tensioner.
freetrials661
Confused??!! It has vertical dropouts and a mech hanger, so the mech hanger would be used to attach a chain tensioner. Well, the pictures shown had no threaded hole for the chain tensioner to connect to. Stan informed me though that that was a temporary hangar, and there are also other ways to mount tensioners. anyways, thanks guys.
