Sam Styles Posted August 6, 2010 Report Share Posted August 6, 2010 okay guys, i made my self a new crossover pipe the other week, and i only got round to fitting it last night. i followed the instructions on the magura website, used a vice, the correct clamps, and a hammer... but i squeeked my brake a min ago and there is water trickling out of the tube where it fits onto the barb why is it leaking? anyone else made a crossover before? josh barker Posted August 6, 2010 Report Share Posted August 6, 2010 happend to me, i find it better to use brand spanking new hose and fittings, just seems better to me. make sure the barb fitting goes exactly square in, if not it will leak. you can use a light lube on the hose+fitting such as 3 in 1. dont know why yours is leaking, if you have followed the magura vid you must be ok? psycholist Posted August 6, 2010 Report Share Posted August 6, 2010 Check the barbs on the ends of the crossover for damage - if you put notches into the edges of the barbs while cutting the old hose off them you've probably created a path for fluid to leak out.
