Muel
Wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows. It's the only way I've managed to get rid of the viruses and repair the damage they've done in the past.

Dwarf Shortage
What's the program it's telling you to download? I had a virus download itself to my computer, then disguise itself as anti-virus software, but after googling the programme name every hit was saying it was a virus. You could download Avast and do a full system scan, should be able to sort it out for you Edited August 5, 2010 by Ninja Manatee
Jamie_Trials
Happened to me before This may take a while but it worked when I had around 2000 viruses on my old comp XD THESE ARE IMPORTANT http://www.pctools.c...load/?src=lp_sd http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html Download these programme's do the scans, delete the viruses and blagh blagh DOWNLOAD ONLY IF YOU PROBLEM PERSISTS http://www.revounins...nal-version.php This handy programme can find the file by running it in "hunter mode". Once you find it, open the file and try delete it, think there was a little button that disabled the virus/programme running. Hope this helps, happy to give further advice if you need it. matt.price
get AVG free download and install it . My link scan and it should remove your virus's and stop you from getting them in the future.
Adam-Griffin
Do you know how to Tri-force? Alternatively, download a programme called 'storm worm' it should sort you out straight away Let me know how you get on buddy
Mr Motivator
Mmmm, the best option buddy is to literally just start all over again. I've been there and done it a few times. Save your important files on CDs/USB, obtain a copy of XP/7 and reinstall windows. I know it sounds a bit brutal but in a couple of hours time you will have a nice new fresh system. Then download and install AVGfree, Spyboy and Adaware. All three of those programs are free and excellent at finding and removing any viruses or spyware that might pop up on your new install. .,â–² â–² â–² Edited August 5, 2010 by Mr Motivator
Revolver
DELETE SYSTEM 32 LOLS
Ben John-Hynes
DELETE SYSTEM 32 LOLS You are such an idiot, why not just answer something normally? @ thread starter, I just went through EXACTLY the same thing on this computer. So what I did was: Started up the comp and as soon as it came on it right clicked the task bar and hit "Task Manager">"Processes" then stop/end anything you didn't start yourself/you don't normally start. That should then allow internet to be used and allow things to be downloaded/installed. I then reset all my internet explorer settings. I googled/youtubed the best ways to get rid of trojans and shit and downloaded two of the best sounding ones*. I then ran a full scan on each then a quick scan on each and quarantined/deleted anything that was a thread. * 1)Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, 2) Emsisoft Anti-Malware. Computer is now running fine and I didn't lose anything. Gimme a shout if you need anything else 'cause as I said, I JUST had this happen to me. EDIT: I already had AVG Anti-Virus, it's good, I reccomend, Edited August 6, 2010 by Ben John-Hynes
Revolver
You are such an idiot, why not just answer something normally? 404 sense of humour not found. It seems a popular setup is Adaware, Avast or AVG, and Zonealarm to protect your computer. However, if your computer is already riddled with viruses and is now knackered, do what Muel says. anzo
Agreed with Muel, if your computer is that infected it'd be much easier, and safer, to completely wipe it out and start fresh. 'A virus' is a very broad term - you don't exactly know what they are and how they operate - whist you can get rid of the main stuff, parts of it may still linger and slow down your system no end. Unfortunately its not as easy as deleting Im_a_virus.exe
