Matt Vandart
In terms of stocking the items you mentioned - we stock Neon, DOB and V!Z, but the issue comes with knowing what sells and what doesn't. Having loads of people on here buzzing about a new product doesn't necessarily translate into actual sales, and in most cases doesn't. Forgot about the new dob stuff you got in to be honest havn't checked out your viz stuff for a while Neon conquer was specifically mentioned, dont know if it is discontinued. And what's crap and what isn't With ZHI and Bionic (same company), there are some bits we'd like to stock, but there is a conflict with Echo so we can't (well, we could, but it would be BAD for our business) get their stuff because of that. I knew ZHI and Bionic were the same company but thought (for some reason unknown to me, maybe I had a dream once) dob were too but was not aware of the conflict with ECHO. Shame. dirt jumper jake
I'd personally like to think we offered better service than CRC, at least as far as my and Ali's experiences with them go. Obviously other's experiences will differ, but from mine in the past and Ali's more recently if we didn't at least match that level of service I'd be pretty disappointed. Tarty piss all over CRC, yeah CRC are good, but shipping times wise nobody will beat tarty
Matt Vandart
Actually in my races they have a couple of times, as in I ordered later in the day from crc and they both turned up the next morning, however you never, ever, get cool little drawings on the invoices from crc which sucks, so Tarty win. cai
Going back to what this topic was created for - 'Is SelectBikes a good site to order from?' I've ordered from SelectBikes on a few occasions before, I once bought a pair of stock Echo Urban 07 forks from him, anyway it all came through pefectly okay. The guy at SelectBikes is really sound! When I ordered an Echo 06 rear mod hub from him (it was £30) and it turned out they were out of stock he phoned me up and then sent an 07 Echo hub for the same £30 price tag (when they were supposed to be £75). EDIT: I wish they stocked more things personally, because I always like to order from the smaller buisnesses when I can to help them out, but often SelectBikes don't have what I'm after in stock, and Tarty do.. It got delt with and i got my money back All i'd say is email and ask if what you want is still in stock.
JT!
But why? I'd prefer tartybikes only. Then they'll be able to sell stuff cheaper, buying more product means it's cheaper. I bought from select bikes back in 2006 and that wasn't the greatest of experiences. They're a good shop but that's about it, Tarty are excellent. Select only had one news update last year and 0 this year. There's just no care when it comes to details which shows throughout the site. I certainly wouldn't make a big order from select, and would only order from there again if I had to.
