Luke Dunstan
Trying to clean my rim, as I'm pretty sure that's why my brake is poo, it's taking forever! It's a light grind and no matter how much I scrub, this black residue is still coming off the rim (even though it looks sparkly clean) Is there a quicker way, or something simple I've overlooked?? Cheers

konstant
Try using solvents. White spirit seems to work well. edit:beaten Edited July 29, 2010 by konstant
josh barker
re-grinding the rim is your best bet what pads are you using? out of all the pads i have used i've never had any "black residue", it could be the pads?
Laurence--Trials
The black residue hes talking about comes from when it rains, i always get this black shit on my rims after/while its raining, I guess its just dirt?
