isitafox
Both my frames flex on the zenith and python when I use my rear brake yet they are both cnc'd to supposedly do away with the need for a booster so would one make a difference on either? The bite on the python is already superb which I put down to the pads but the zenith is a little ropey and I wondered if a booster would solve this or should I try some pads first? And if I got a booster on the python as well would it make any difference to how it performs? I'm running a 05 HS33 on each, magura koolstops on the zenith which have always been pretty good for me in the past and some unrecognisable yellow pads on the python if that helps? Duncy H
It will most likely make a big difference to the way the brake performs. I once had an echo team 07 with similar cnc work on it and ended up with a 4 bolt booster on there which perhaps was a bit over kill but helped a lot. I rate the trialtech 2 bolt boosters highly, might be a good idea to experiment with one of them
craigjames
I dont think the booster would make that much of a difference when used witha Zenith, i would say the pads are the first thing to change, even without a booster you'll notice a better performing brake with some decent pads and a well set up brake. I guess you're using a smooth rim? Cleaned it recently? Personalyl i'd Personally i would buy some trials specifc pads intended for use on a smooth or lightly grinded rim, something like heatsink yellows are awesome, clean your rim with alcohol or even water and a clean rag, or grind it. Set up everything perfectly square and see where you are and if things ahve improved. Boosters tend to not have much effect on bite in my experience, but improve hold. isitafox
Think I'll look into some new pads, just need to conjure up some cash!
