foxinsocks
How do you decide at what angle to position your brake levers (for trials obviously)? is there some sort of general guideline? My wrist is rather weak now, since i just recovered from a mtb crash, so im looking for every possible way to ease the pressure on it... Sam T
It's down to personal prefference mate, have a play around with them and see what angle feels best. There's no "Proper Brake Position" really. If you have weak wrist, try having the lever coming in a bit further than you might usually have it, might make it feel more comfortable. Hope this helps, Sam Edited July 26, 2010 by TrialsSam
Ben John-Hynes
Taken from another thread asking exactly the same thing on exactly the same page on the forum... It's been proven that having your brake levers at a 135o angle from the top of your bars will help you to sidehop 27% higher.

foxinsocks
Hmmm, alrighty... Thought maybe there was something i should pay attention to- like keeping the wrist straight or bent up\down. You start noticing those things once you break your wrist But i guess its like i thought - personal preference. Well, Thanks anyway.
Dan6061
General rule for me is having them so they end up flat when I'm on the backwheel.
