terry26rims
Placed an order with Tarty today and forgot about rim tape. It says on the web site that its better than messing with insulation tape, in my case should i just wrap some tape round the wheel or place another order monday or is there any better cheap alternatives? cheers T. aener
Use anything that's strong enough. Really not a problem what. I've currently got just a few layers of bin-bag, and it's fine.

Muel
Sellotape. Saves weight over normal rim tape. I once saved 50g total off my bike doing that, and another 50g by changing to foam grips.

Shaun H
Sellotape usually needs periodical replacement (every 3-6 months maybe) in my experience but as mentioned it saves a fair bit of weight and is much cheaper than proper rim tape! Muel
100g saved for £6 on grips and £1 on sellotape, or 100g saved by spending £100 on TI bolts? Yes, I added it all up on Tarty once.
