dannytrialskid
Depends on what you find more comfortable. I have caged, they work fine in dry and wet. - All depends if you spend a decent amount of money to get some decent caged pedals. Caged have always been perfect for me, I personally hate platform pedals.
Cundog123
I like platform peddles more than caged peddles because i am a bit rough so i allways snap caged peddles haha.
Ashes
I personally prefer platform pedals, this is because if your not a really good smooth rider the chances are your going to brake the caged pedals really easy. There are so many more reasons which l let tarty explain ........... http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/media.html?group=guides&id=17 Ashes.
