modifiedridah2k9
Hey guys, Selling my frame soon, and with part of the money im going to buy a freewheel. Im stuck between 2 (as always ) These 2 are: the Echo SL 108, or the Tensile 96-click. What one is stronger, more reliable, just better altogether. Mark W
The SL is a hell of a lot better than the Tensile. Higher quality, better system, more solid/precise engagement, more reliable, longer-lasting. They're literally better in every way. Everyone here runs them - Ali's is over 16 months old now. If you end up going for the 96-click, remember to flush it out with some GT-85 or put some thin lube in there. They come with some slightly thicker grease as standard which makes them slightly more prone to skipping, which in turn shortens the freewheel's lifespan. isitafox
I've got one of each and I'd say the SL feels better, the tensile's main plus point is the fact you can easily get spares to completely rebuild it although with the SL you'll never have to! Ashley Sayers
why dont you just go for the tensile 60 click there well good and also very loud
josh barker
i ran a tensile before i got a king, have to say was the best freewheel i ever used, used it for about a year and has never skipped. like mark said flush it out and put some light lube in the freewheel and you can get spares if youll need them.
