1a2bcio8
Hey I am looking at getting a new program for making videos because wmm sucks Can anyone recomend a decent editor for under £100 Thanks alot If you're a student you should be able to pick up a copy of Adobe Premiere for about that. I recommend it! If, however, you aren't a student then the cost well exceeds your budget. I think Sony Vegas might be a free and effective editing suite but I've never used it. Captain Scarlet
Sony Vegas unfortunately isn't free editing software. As Ben said, Adobe do a very generous student discount so that will be your best options for legitimate paid software. Other than that I am not too sure of any free alternatives, I know there is one which allows for a wide variety of file types and editing styles, but the name always slips my mind. Edit: What about Pinnaccle Studio from Avid? Edited July 11, 2010 by Captain Scarlet
kevlarorc
You can get Vegas Movie Studio HD for less than $50 and HD Platinum for less than $100. It won't have all the same features as the Vegas Pro but it's still sufficient for any basic editing you could need to do with it. http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegassoftware Edited July 11, 2010 by kevlarorc
Milford Cubicle
I just got Cyberlink powerdirector 8, tis pretty sweet and only £33 from amazon, if you want to burn in HD you need to get the £50 version, not as good as adobe's if you can get that though x
