multi tasking male
i would say sme new pads on the back with a grind, different cranks with a free wheels on the front and fixed sprocket on the back (save weight), maybe some new wheels but if you dont have that money then some bars, stem, new v setup, hope mono on front or maybe a avid bb7. hope i helped chris
Muel
change the wheels, bb, cranks, and some heatsink yellow cnc v pads for the back with a grind have a vote Nothing wrong with those wheels at all. Cranks/BB are also fine for the time being. Personally I'd upgrade the forks first, those Onza ones are steel and weigh rather a lot What I would get would be an 18t bashring, a Tensile freewheel and a 12t rear sprocket. This would improve the engagements and make the drivetrain ride as well as all mid-range stuff. The rear brake could also do with some upgrading, I'd get some pads like the ones that have already been recommended, and in the future a booster, and upgrade the arms, lever and cable. So aye, basically just a FFW setup, upgrade the rear brake a bit and the forks, bar and stem. Everything else on it is fine IMO. Onza wheels have always been slated, especially the old T-Pro hubs. I always found if you just rebuilt them properly then they'll run forever.

modifiedridah2k9
hey forum, just got an onza bird 2010 click here for pic and description wondering what could be done to make it better? thanks guys woody. Give the rim a grind, heatsink yellow vee pads are good for the rear, take off the bashplate(save weight + if you hit it too hard, a crack will appear in your frame). I can't think of anything else. i have had a ride on one, their sweet.
Jamie_Trials
if you hit it too hard, a crack will appear in your frame Doubtful, it has a gusset on the frame so it should be fine But yeh, new brake setup defiantly.

TomG
I wouldn't bother changing the cranks yet, they're pretty good cranks imo. As others have said, I'd suggest better pads for the back, and a booster seen as they're pretty cheap. Also I'd suggest new grips, the default Onza grips hurt a lot. Rich J
Just ride the bike til you find something you think needs to be replaced. If the brakes arent up to scratch look at those, too heavy look at that etc. Theres no point in changing it straight away.
Cundog123
yeah, just like rich j said, i would just leave your bike as it is for now until something goes rong or you want to upgrade something if you dont like it.
