Skorp
Hello! Did just build up my new bike for the rest of the season. I chose an inspired, because alot of my friends ride bmx and street. I have tested the inspired for 2 days now, and i do really not like how it rides. I wonder if the bike gets any better if i get 1-2" of spacers on the steerertube? What do you guys think? Sell the bike and continiue using my Pirhana, or buy a new fork and get some spacers on it? Since i ride aswell street with the zoo, i cant see any benefit riding the inspired as it is now Edited July 10, 2010 by Skorp
PeanuckleJive
what bars and stem are you running? It seems the best way to ruin your inspired is to run a bad bar and stem combo, A lot of people have a fairly short stem with a lot of rise, which it looks like you pretty much have, plus the trialtech high rise bars (or something similar) stackers will help too

Onza PZ3 or something..Think the geo is 85mm and 20degree rise The handlebars are Trialtech Highrise, wich i think is the same Mark is using? So the only possible "fault" is the spacers? Might just be my expections to a streety trials bike that are to high Edited July 11, 2010 by Skorp

Mark W
Stackers, and roll your bars back. Your's look pretty forward which basically makes your bike more trialsy rather than BMXy. To give you an example of how mine is set up:

Bit more rise at the stem and a big stack of spacers I will try a new fork with uncut steerertube and tilting my handlebars more backwards! How is the weight of the tyres and rims compared to the lightest in the market? WHat is the lightest..? Have Trialtech with no holes, and Kenda K-rad tyres Thanks for the quick answer Edited July 11, 2010 by Skorp
Mark W
My tyres and rims aren't the lightest available, but they're some of the highest performance. I've got a Trialtech drilled rear rim and an Echo TR front. Laced both wheels 3 cross and I don't ever have to true or tweak them, even though I do quite a lot of spins. The tyres are the grippiest available and take hits pretty well which means more to me than having some superlight tyres.

Found out that your tires weigh around 650g in 2.2, and mine 850 in 2.3.....I need to tyres change now
