dustyjust
HI people, just taking a moment to introduce myself. My names Justin, I live in Redditch, West Midlands and have been riding mtb's now for about 10 years. I used to ride a bit of trials about 6-7 years ago but am just starting to get back into things after a long while with street/jump bikes. I currently ride a NS Metropolis 1 with a few upgraded parts but am currently looking to sell so I can fund a 24/26" street trials bike. I was originally inspired by the likes of Martyn Ashton, Eddie Tongue and Chris Akrigg and started a bit of trials on a heavily modified Saracen X-Cell (I built it up as a dual slalom rig, as this was the 'in thing' at the time. Needless to say, it was far from ideal) and a few occasions riding a little 20" Monty I borrowed from a friend. I am now a bit sick of the street/dj scene now (everybody's doing it!) and have been closely drawn back to trials riding. Yet again, this is an inspirational thing triggered by watching shredders like Danny Mac, Ali C and others with there new take on 'street trials'. Hopefully, it will not be long before I am back to the discipline I loved the most, and maybe getting a few million-hit Youtube videos myself (I can only wish!!!). Thanks for your time and I hope the riding goes well.
raoulduke
Welcome, Similar story to mine, (i started on a modified Saracen X-ile). By the sounds of it a 24" would be the way to go for you. Depending on your budget, there are some good bikes. If you are keeping the budget tight i know a lot of people on here have said the Onza Zoot is a really nicxe bike, (£500, although Tartybikes have recently put the price up slightly). Anyway welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll find plenty of good information. Cheers.
