After I Have Laced My New Rims........

Hello.

I have just ordered a new set of rims for my 20" trials bike, i no i can lace them but after that im a bit stuck.

Once i have all the spokes in ect could anyone help me by telling me what i need to do next?, a friend of mine told me i should tighten all the nipples right up then tune, but he said he`s not 100% sure.

Any help would be great, thanks....

yep thats right. Start at the valve hole, on each nipple do one full turn and go right the way round. Do it again if you need any more tension.

When thats done, whack it in a truing stand and tru it until its straight.

Easy way to true a wheel, put it in your frame with the brake set up mega close, (1mm from pad to rim, depending on how buckled; adjust)

Then where the buckle is, half turn the nipple in the opposite way of the buckle. If it gets too tight feeling, switch to the buckled side, undoing the spoke.
