AdaamR
Well seeing as you have a 24" and you dont like it you can rule that one out. Try riding some of your friends bikes to see which size you prefer, its just your opinion. There is a lot more than wheel size you need to take into consideration though. B0LT0N
hey im considering selling my 24" for something new as i prefere gapping ect could someone help please? cheers, sam 26" are good for gapping if you can control them, to be honest if you get a 26 hopping and gapping etc becomes harder at first but once your used to it then you can do it further than you can on your 24" Sent you a validation vote btw sam EDIT: c'mon guys hes been here 4 years and hasn't got 5 votes? WTF? i got validated in 24 hours, i know this guy and he is a VERY competent rider... Give him a break? mattj
i personally would go for a 26", especially as you say gapping etc is your sort of thing. As mentioned above, some people find getting a 26" under control difficult to start with, but through perservernace you will get there and reap the rewards. Also by the fact you ride a 24" you're obviously into your street riding, i'd expect you will be able to ride the street stuff you do at the moment (if you want to continue to do so) a lot more competently on a 26 than a 20, though i'm sure there are people who would argue the opposite. Having said all that it is a very personal thing. I know people who swear by their 20", however whenever i tried one i just couldn't get into it at all. If you can i would definitely try and ride friend's different bikes to get a feel and see what feels most comfortable to you, and what you feel will be most appropriate for the riding you aspire to do. Nope just finished it. Not going anywhere fast. I don't think he was reffering to yourself, but to the topic starter who was dropping subtle hints on the subject. Why should how competent a rider you are have any sort of weighting on whether you're validated or not, surely it should be based upon your input to the forum, how you put yourself across/behave and having a basic grasp of the language we (on a whole) speak. As for what bike you should get, personally i would get a 24" TGS style bike, as this would involve the lowest expenditure if you're buying new. If not a 26" bike would probably be your next best bet as it will not require you to buy new hubs, like a mod will. But the best way to tell is to get out and try a few of your friends bikes and see who they feel. What bike you ride and the set up of it is a very personal thing, I don't see how people make a final decision on this based on what people on a forum say; use it only as a guide, but try out and see what you like. TimTimSky
I think 20" is too small, for 24" and 26", I'd prefer 24" as I'm kind of short

More down to what kind of riding you wanna do.

jofako
hey im considering selling my 24" for something new as i prefere gapping ect could someone help please? cheers, sam I think that simple 20 is the essence of the trial, but requires more effort 24 street is as much to play 26 it more comfortable and less complicated
