Matt Burrows
Name me a pair of forks that don't snap from riding trials... ...oh wait there isn't any
Greetings
You just owned yourself by admitting on a public forum that your riding is badly timed.
Matt Vandart
Name me a pair of forks that don't snap from riding trials... ...oh wait there isn't any Seen a set of trials tech forks snapped like that the other night, it's all this rear mounted maggie shit and lightweight obsession, theres places that weight saving just isn't worth the money. On the highlighted point, echo lites seem to be the best bet.
PaRtZ
Name me a pair of forks that don't snap from riding trials... ...oh wait there isn't any has Tim snapped pashley forks? I remember him riding full pelt into that wall and bending the frame at hook woods....
Ben John-Hynes
I don't get why people still post pics of broken forks. Shit happens. Why not post a picture of your punctures too?
Mark W
Yet more reasons why front disc rules
monkeyseemonkeydo
Exactly. Front disc + Trialtech or Inspired forks = several years of trouble free riding.
Mark W
Apparently though, it's more expensive paying fractionally more in the short term rather than a lot more in the long term. I don't fully understand how that's the case, but that's what I frequently get told...
josh barker
On the highlighted point, echo lites seem to be the best bet. i snapped some echo lites. i agree though, i cant think of 1 fork that hasnt snapped or cracked
Balls Deep trials team
i snapped some echo lites. i agree though, i cant think of 1 fork that hasnt snapped or cracked well has anybody snapped some onza blade forks then ?
Mark W
The only Onza forks I haven't broken were some proto forks I got in 2003 that weighed about 1.5kg or so.
Matt Vandart
Front maggie is sucking big time on my stock but mostly because of the racket riding between spots.
PaRtZ
its these new kids thinking gap down to front is cool...
Matt Burrows
has Tim snapped pashley forks? I remember him riding full pelt into that wall and bending the frame at hook woods.... I've snapped 2 and yeah I think Tim has ruined quite a few sets. They're stronger with V mounts I think, the disc ones didn't like my BB7. manuel
inspired + disc only = strongest available.
3dd
Now that's what I thought... Or drops down to front, haha! Edited June 27, 2010 by 3dd
mods
These are comp forks? I've personally never had a problem snapping forks. But i would still not run such compy forks, or a front hs 33 Riding street as well.. hmm. I am all up for saving weight, but you need to give it some though in relation to how you ride. ben_travis
some people dont like the feel of a disc (or seem to have no luck with them actually working) though boys... vee on front. no problems at all (from my experience) four bolt mounts suck
