Jimbob 2705
My Onza T-Pro makes a loud clunk when you press down hard on the pedals. I was doing a wheelie when this first happened. You can't bring the front wheel up because as soon as you hear the clunk the front wheel just goes down. Any suggestions on what is happening? Thanks, James

I just bought this so I am disappointed already! Easy to fix? I just bought this so I am disappointed already! Also, the chain seems really loose. I don't know if that makes any difference? Box
If your chain's loose it's probably skipping. Get it nice and tight and you should be fixed.

Jimbob 2705
Just had a good look at the bike. If the freewheel is the sprocket thing by the pedals (well pedal stem things, don't know exact name sorry :$ ), it is on a bar (?) which goes through the frame to the other pedal stem. Well there is a thread by the freewheel but it has lost its thread. It just slides into the frame and back out. I'm sure this isn't right. Maybe it is causing the clunk? Anyway, I am going to send it back to the guy as I am not pleased since it has: 1)Makes a clunk 2)Front buckled wheel which has a slow puncture and the tire is very worn down 3)Rear brake doesn't work properly 4)Finally, chain very slack So since he sold it in 'perfect working order' I think I will return it even though it says that 'this seller doesn't accept returns'. I have sent him a message about problems with the bike and I am waiting for his reply. What options do I have if he says he will not refund me? I see there is claiming on eBay, how does it work and do you win often? Thanks, James

Thanks, James Calm down that bar is your bottom bracket axle, it isn't meant to be threaded. the cranks slide onto it and are then held in place by a bolt on the front of them. Matt Vandart
I hate getting ripped, it gets me in trouble. It could well be your freewheel, pics would be handy of this 'threaded bit.'
Jimbob 2705
This is the pictures of the thread I was on about by the freewheel: You can see what I mean about the thing moving without needing to thread it! It just slides that far out and that far in. It might thread on the last few milimetres but I don't know how to screw it in? What do you guys think? Thanks, James Edit: Wrong picture! Ashley Sayers
u need a bottom bracket tool , see if you can get it in more http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=561&category_id=
rhythm_101
If the bb slides in and out without screwing, then your frame's threaded, could well be due to riding it whilst it was loose, or he sold it to you like that, either way you need to takes off the cranks and take out the bb then have a good look inside to se how the threads are. You might be able to save it by cleaning and passing a die through there to try and re-thread it, either way due to the nature of your post i would advise you to have it done by someone with a little know how good luck! dann2707
Wow that bottom bracket isn't even threaded in is it! Not looking good mate, I would, as said above, take the cranks off and have a good look at whats what
Matt Burrows
If you can push it in and out that far then the frame is probably ruined as said above. Sometimes if you've only lost a few threads you can get a bike shop to repair it with a thread chaser, but I very much doubt that will work on your frame if it only has a few threads left. I'm not surprised you had a clunk, Bottom brackets (thats what the part that goes into the frame is called) feel horrible and clunk quite a bit even if they're only slightly loose! I'd advise you try and get back to the guy you bought it off and see what he says, maybe with a parents help. Buying second hand is a risky business when you are inexperienced mechanically. All the other problems you describe are pretty simple to sort out when you've been riding and fixing bikes for a few years. By the way; Pedal arms=cranks Axle and bearings that screw into the frame=bottom bracket or BB for short The part of the frame which the BB screws into (the bit you've damaged)=BB shell
