Rim Reviews

Hey Guys,

I am going to buy a new rear wheel but Im not sure what I actually want or need. I need an new one as my current one is badly buckled and is extremely effecting the breaking power. I want to go for a mix of strength and lightness. I ride an onza t-pro 07 (which means I need a 19 inch) and will have an echo tr hub.

Thanks :)

Drilled DX32 is silly strong when built properly, more than light enough and holds a grind better than just about every rim out there, the only downside is that theyre a bit narrower than other rims so setting the brake up can be a bit more tricky :)

Sounds good but .....

1. I don't trust my own drilling.

2. It is narrow so it imply's that it would be weaker.

Dont drill it then...

Fine width, I run an Echo 07 front (39mm wide ) on the rear with no issues...

Trialtech/ try-all are pretty badass...strong and light ( normal circular drileld dual-wall )

Doubt you'd have need for it...but if you bash then Echo Urban

If you want lightweight then go Try-all h0le or Onza pro Diamond

Does anyone have a DOB magnesium or has ever had one?

Never had one, but the older ones were known to have spokes pulling through and they don't hold grinds too well due to the uber soft material. Ideal I think for a front disc wheel.

New ones are 170% thicker around the spoke so should at least be a lot better to stop the spokes pulling through :)
