Oldskooltrials
I need to bleed my HS33's as i last bled them about 8 years ago and i have the tpa wound in fully to take up the slack in the lever now ! When i heard that people are bleeding them with water nowadays i thought it was a joke at first till i read some of the threads on TF. Im not entirely convinced by the idea, mainly due to my brakes being a good 10 years old now and i cant imagine filling them with water will help the seals much? Is there anything else i can use other than Magura oil, preferably something i could get from a normal hardware store like B&Q or halfords? Luke Dunstan
Years ago I think people were using cooking oil or Vodka for a budget side of things. I'm not too sure if that's the best idea though.
Duncy H
Cirtoen brake mineral oil from halfords It is about a fiver for 1 litre which is much better value than royal blood and it does the same job. Water bleeds or a water solution feels much better though.
