Krisboats
Whats Bradgate park like to ride? Looks like there are some good rock formations there, just wondered if anyones had any problems riding there? The wardens generally don't like people riding bikes off the path in there because of people usually racing at high speeds down the hills (myself included). Never had a problem with riding on the rocks though as far as i'm aware as there are kids climbing on them all the time. The kids feet have made the rocks quite slippery though in the main areas of the park so it's best to go a little more into the middle ofthe park if you're wanting to ride them. There are better sets of rocks around Leicestershire though....
JIX
So they dont mind really then. There seems to be several different sets of rocks in there to ride. Where are some other spots then bud?

Krisboats
Yeah they don't really mind. What sort of time on saturday? I might well be up for that. This is really the only set of rocks in there that are any good though Bradgate However there is markfield quarry just up the road. Never ridden there before but i heard it's good. F-Stop Junkie
Yeah, the Wardens are often "Take bike, ask questions later" if you're off the path. If it's busy (Sunny day, weekend, lots of families?) then anything seen as potentially dangerous in their eyes would probably have a dim view of. Honestly, I'd go somewhere else on a weekend. JIX
Oh really, there seems to be quite a few different formations based on google earth and peoples pictures. I will take your word for it though as you've been there. I think I will stick to bradsgate park for convienience, but I will remeber the quarry for next time im in the area. I will probs head over to the park for about half ten eleven.

Yeah but like rich said, it gets busy on a sunny day and the rocks nearest the main road are slippery and mostly unrideable due to the amount of kids climbing on them. The ones out the way in the middle of the park are the best bet for being left alone and having something decent to ride.
JIX
Yea the middle of the park sounds good then. If the wardens have a problem then they have a problem but I willing to give it a try. Find a nice quiet spot.
