Trials-mad-Josh
Hey guys, need a bit of help since I'm a huge noon and haven't had a trials bike in years. I have the frame, 07 pitbull (yay) and need pretty much everything else for it! Need help with headset, bb (I assume ISIS) cranks etc etc Unfortunately I'm not a baller yet so don't suggest £500 forks etc Also don't suggest getting a different frame Cheers
N.Wood
Umm.. Random list of good parts off the top of my head. Most (if not all) available from tartybikes.co.uk. Echo SL headset. Trialtech ISIS BB and cranks Echo TR freewheel Magura HS33 rear with a pad that suits you Front hope mono trial/avid bb7/magura louise FR Try-all front tyre, maxxis minion dual ply super tacky rear Trialtech bars Tartybikes stem Trialtech/Echo forks (whatever you like the look of) Trialtech/koxx rims on echo TR hubs Rohloff tensioner Trialtech chain Wellgo mag pedals Whatever grips/tubes Thats a quick random list of a well specced but not baller as f**k bike. Others will have certain parts they dislike, some won't. Have a look on tartybikes.co.uk and see what you like the look/price of. If you ring them they can also spec the bike for you. Cheers thats great. Also what would be the difference between an Echo SL Headset and say an FSA Pig? Is about half the price and is it worth the extra? N.Wood
Well to you it may be worth getting a Pig, to others its not I mentioned the SL because its relitively cheap, lighter than most, has sealed bearings and will last forever if you look after it. The only problem with Pigs is they weigh so much and I found replacing the bearings wasnt easy as they are oversized so hard to source. For someone just starting out a pig will do fine. More experienced riders will notice the weight. I mean totally up to you, like you said budget is important.

Will probably get bashed around a bit at first. cheers
