If yu ask my opinion i'd say, stop being such a gaming noob with your windows games, spend more time on your bike and less on your computer.

No offence ment.

still not fixed.

An error comes up saying: one of the system discpart uses returned a failure. Error code=3.

the system can not find the path requested.

The bios isn't related to the OS, it should install no trouble at all.

I did think this. but as my comment above all i get is that error code. it gets the point where i can clear C drive and it starts and gives up

Sometimes the manufacturer will partition your hard drive with a 8Gb "recovery" partition or something like that, which is activated when you "restore" from the install disks. However, since you've installed Linux, you may have broken deleted that partition? Just a guess. Try a proper (I.e. not OEM / restore) Windows disk.

I think this is whats happened,. but i dont think the recovery disc is geared up for setting new partitions :(

Aye, original windows disc would be the next step.

If you already have that, boot a Linux live CD and format the hard drive, then try the WIndows disc again.

I have linux on a usb that i made from downloads. If i end up buying a windows 7 disc package will this work?
