try-all blade
HI all i'm currently new to this forum. my problem is that i have an 09 onza blade.(6 months old) It is cleaned greased oiled. after or before every ride.Bolts and evrything is kept tight. but my problem is is that it was coming up for it's 1st free service so i took it. The man in the shop was disgusted with the state of the bike. He explained the bottom bracket was broken the bearings had gone in front and back rim. the headset was broken ect. I totaly disagree. For me as a new rider the bike is perfect. The bike is currently being fixed. is there anything i can do to keep it in tip top form. i replace bearings when there worn ect ect. Thanks in advance. dannytrialskid
Yeah, just keep an eye on the stuff to be honest. You never know when something is going to brake until it brakes. There are some obvious ways of finding out if something needs fixing, e.g. the freewheel is skipping; this is a usual problem with freewheels, but after a while you would want to get a new one. To be honest, they are all different, I guess you just learn what to look for after bad experience of things braking =[

dann2707
Reminds me of a classic car garage, go in for timing belt done and they'll tell you your brakes need doing, which leads to your power steering playing up, which leads to your head gasket going. It seems like he's taking you for a ride, surely you would know if these issures were true though! It's not hard to miss a broken bottom bracket :'D
