I've just been at the Downhill at Fort William and mostly watched the Trials Competition but searching the web it seems that all of the UK comps are further south. I was there running the trial in Scotland, lots of people left me there names, email addresses and phone numbers to pass on to someone who may be interested in starting up a club up there.
