Im not really sure whats the best disc but im pretty sure there was a rim grinding thread earlier in new members chat maybe that can help you if no one replys. Exactly what it says it is, when you get a grinder and grind the face of the rim. Some people do it to roughen up the surface and give the brake more to bite onto.
