monkeyseemonkeydo
Yeah, it's possible but really not worth the hassle!
Mikey-uk
You guys shouldn't bother replying. He asked for your help not your opinion, he wants a smooth rim so let him have one. Use sandpaper to smooth your rim, start slightly rough to wear the grind down and slowly move onto finer and finer sand paper untill its back to smooth, give it a clean to get rid of the metal dust and you're done. ^^
Revolver
Just leave the grind, they go dull after a while, which is as good as smooth. Depends on the state of the grind at the moment though.
N.Wood
Back in the day, I found if you didnt do a proper job on it and just left it slightly rough, you'd have a worse brake than if it was completely smooth or fully ground. So make sure you spend some time and do it properly... A belt sander could help the process.

TOBY-E
nice one. Different grades of sand paper/wet and dry and a sander/dremel just put a sanding pad on a angle grinder takes about 2 mins. saves fukin round with sandpaper.
Ipod Bob
took me an hour with sandpaper once, it was EPIC but possible
multi tasking male
i took the paint off my rim with a file and that was so fine it took about 10 mins to go smooth, i would just take the tire off, put the wheel in the frame and file it down on both sides. chris
matthew_coggan
On tarty bikes on the product guide for rim grinding it says if you grind the rim both ways it just smothes it off, so i would think you could just do it the opporsite way to the grind and it should work.
