Nick Manning
I've just bought a Echo tensioner brand new from tartybikes, it's for the TR hub. I've gone to fit it and have found that the cog on the tensioner doesn't line up with the cog on the hub. I'm guessing I need to change the cog on the hub, but could do with any advice. craigjames
Yeah its designed to run with a cog that has the teeth central to the base, think the Echo TR cog is like this as is the Try-all

Anyone from Tartybike's able to back that up, so I can go ahead and order one?
onzatrip
nick instead of spending money have you tryed spacing it out? E.G putting tensioner on outside of frame to line it up.

The tensioner is desgined to be run inside of the frame.
Rusevelt
I take it the jockey wheel doesn't move freely along its axle, like the DMR tensioners? Also did you not consider a DIY spoke chain tensioner, which works a treat and costs you next to nothing? think there was a thread on this tried and tested idea somewhere here. No, the jockey wheel isn't adjustable. I've not seen the spoke design, but surely this would wear the chain quickly. Reason I went for the Echo tensioner was because it sits on the axle rather than the mech hanger.
Greetings
Change the cog to a TR one. I wasn't aware of this problem but that's what's causing it.

AdamR28
Not come across this issue before, but as has been said, you should be fine with a sprocket that has it's teeth in the centre. Just added that info to our website, thanks for the feedback. I'll also set up a refund for the delivery to your card Nick, sorry for the problem, we should have noticed that! Adam Cool, cheers for that Adam. I just figured as I had the Tr hub, the TR tensioner would fit no problem, I didn't think about the teeth's position on the sprocket. But atleast it'll be working for the weekend Thanks again.
