Desmond Derv
Ok, so I have been playing with my bike for nearly a week now, every time I try get on my back wheel the bike slips, I was given some tar (cheers pogo) and I was ok for a little bit but now it slips again even with tar on the rim, so is there a better way to set up, or better pads? Or am i best just saving some monies and getting some maggies? Also: It has been pointed out to me that the cranks have a little bit of play and was told its the freewheel that's crap/could be better, now being new to all this there are about 8 freewheels to pick from... which is best for a mod bike, any better than others? and to further my dumbness, the freewheel is the part that goes on the rear hub? and clicks when you coast? the front cog only turns with the pedals? (excuse my thickness)

matthew_coggan
Grind your rim and run some better pads ! Should do the trick Also make sure the pads are square on the rim, the easy way to do it is loosen the pads right off, line them up, pull the brake in hard then tighten up the pads making sure they dont move and then they will be level. I would also add that if you are running a cheap V brale with cheap parts then its not worth doing just get a maggy.
