Hey all, a few of you might know I currently ride an old skool heavy tools stock but recently I picked up an old zenith frame for doing up.

My original plan was fix and paint it then swap all the gear off the tools frame onto it to help improve my riding, the thing is there seems to be a come back of the old skool on here recently and its making me doubt my choice so do I;

A. Get zenith fixed and swap everything over, job done

B. Get zenith fixed, fit a headset and the viz forks I bought for it and sell on, or

C. Get zenith fixed and build it up out of mainly 2nd hand parts (already got forks, bars and stem) to use as a 2nd bike so I've got the best of both worlds?

D. As suggested by onzatrip, sort zenith and swap gear over then rebuild bits off heavy tools with oldskool kit

If I go for C it just means it will be a long time building up as me and the wife have another kid on the way so money's gonna have to be saved where possible and I can't really see the point of having 2 trials bikes.

D could be the way forward!

Decisions, decisions!!!

How about build the zenith up with the parts you have then get proper old school parts for the other fram with like mavic rims,hope xc hubs etc ?

Plus changing to a new stylre frame will improve your riding.

That could be an option, may have to keep the drivetrain though as I'm loving the front freewheel single speed setup!

It'd probably be pretty cheap to pick up some 521's nowadays and could always go back to front and rear maggys on it, got my old mountain blue ones still that I used to use that could go on with some new style clamps.

Genius idea!!
