Arran
Hey guys , Does grinding your rims help your brake ( Magura HS33 with brakets) grip onto the rim and not slip?
Riley1
It sure does, just make sure you dont grind through the rim

PeanuckleJive
Get a nice filthy grind, Filthier than the average whore, really does help your brakes grip and HONK! angle grinder with a cut off disc held at a steep angle to the rim works wonders for making a nice rough grind

monty-james
Yeah, grinds do help alot, i would say have a MEGA deep grind because, well use some common sense, it cant be too good for the rim. An average grind is just right really, although if you cant be bothered to do a grind on your rim; just use some tar, its really good in the summer. The only bad parts about tar is the amount of times you have to put it on and that it runs in rain, making your brakes slippy. Sorry about the slight wall of text

matthew_coggan
If your brake isnt slipping without a grind at the minit then i wouldnt bother putting one on. I would look at information about your pads and see what the best suggested use for them is then do that, it will probally require a grind.
