Mark W
DOB have some new rims out for 2010. They're a bit of an improvement on their older models, in so much as they've got a properly meaty outer wall which should stop any spoke-pulling-through issues, and a 'complete' inner wall to give them a bit more rigidity. They're available in a range of finishes, and the weights (in black) are 389g (19"), 321g (20"), 444g (26" front) and 535g (26" rear). The front rims in 20" and 26" are 33mm wide, and the two rear rims are 43mm wide. Photos:
craigjames
Do look more substantial than the older rims, although the machining and joining doesn't look too tidy, narrow too by other rims. be interesting to see how the hold up and if they hold a grind. Mark W
Joins when un-built usually look a bit ropey...

Rusevelt
They could have eyeleted those rims (rear rim only) for higher spoke tension, even with the extra 50g of weight, they would still be lighter than any other rim out there. Mark W
They hopefully shouldn't need to bearing in mind how thick the walls are now...

You could say the same about most rims in that case, Rockman included Andrew.
Mark W
Well, to be fair to Rockman you kinda need to blame Try-All there

Rusevelt
any news of a new frame? You wouldn't think so even if they used thicker tubing and cnc'd yoke to overcome the problems of the previous DOB frames. Would be interesting to see new forks though.
