Bronz
I've been riding stock for just over a month now, and seem to be getting the hang of it okay. I've also only just really learned sidehops, and if you look you can see I'm still a bit wooden with them, and also tend to land with my back wheel quite a bit before my front. I'd really appreciate and feedback on that and anything else The first one was shot and edited by a mate of mine from work over a couple of hours riding. It's on a Canon 7D, super HD. The riding in this one is nothing special as it was more an exercise for him to test out his camera; he was directing the riding, with me just doing whatever he said (hence small walls being ridden, and about ten 'spinning-around-things' in a row). Watch on Vimeo for full HD The second one was filmed by me and my missus, with more emphasis on the riding. Feedback would be really appreciated Watch on Vimeo for full HD Cheers, H EDIT: Also, look out for the tear inducing ball shot at the beginning of the second Edited April 28, 2010 by Bronz

James Shields
i think mate in relation to your sidehops and back wheel first, the walls are to low in all honesty lol you look like you dont try, so push and try a step up, youll be surprised, but dnt concentrate on them as thats what i did and when i came back to try peddle-ups etc i found them hard, so practise those, but mix it with all your other riding aswell. liked those vids lad
Bronz
Looking good bronz. Those pedel ups are getting pretty beasty now. Ride soon! Haha cheers, been practicing and practicing and they're getting there. I can almost get that wall I plough into at the beginning with a slight tap Yessir, ride soon! You not out tomorrow? Need to get out ons some rides dude, am in bradford atm but i'd love to see what brighouse has got to offer. Ah cool, well I head over there quite a bit as it's a pretty varied ride. I'm wanting to check out Bradford too so we'll have to set up some rides. Im with steve the pirate and pogo, your ridings improved much beyond from what ive seen from you in the past, your coming along fastly on a whole can tell your from yourshire learning the sidhops Cheers fella, appreciate it I find stock so much better than mod, and even in the month or so since that Leeds ride (the one where I was almost dead) I can feel I've come on loads. But yeah, need to sort those sidehops out, I look really slow and heavy... me and meki was wondering if youd be up for a ride sometime soon? Im bikeless atm but I should be rolling by the weekend or if not the week after if you think of anything or anywhere youd like to ride wed happily join you. I'm up for it yeah, I'm not free this weekend but I think I might be the weekend after... I'll let you know. i think mate in relation to your sidehops and back wheel first, the walls are to low in all honesty lol you look like you dont try, so push and try a step up, youll be surprised, but dnt concentrate on them as thats what i did and when i came back to try peddle-ups etc i found them hard, so practise those, but mix it with all your other riding aswell. liked those vids lad Ah right, that could be it, as I'm kinda new to the whole sidehopping thing I only ever do stuff I know I could comfortably manage, next ride I'll push it further. Although the fall off the tree stump at the beginning was the result of a sidehop I didn't hold, and I think I landed more on both wheels then--that stump being much higher than I'm normally comfortable with... cool vids and riding man well done Very pleasant videos to watch Nice vid mate Thanks guys Any more comments? The feedback is great, cheers. Although I'm surprised no one's commented on that ball-crushing bit at the beginning. Seriously, most painful thing ever! Bronz
Just had a thought. Could my gammy sidehops be a result of leaning back too far and hanging off the bars. See what I mean below: Him: Body narrower, elbows bent, arse down, more upright. Me: Body quite wide with arse over the back wheel, arms straight, hanging off the bars, more leaned back rather than upright. Any tips would be ace Cheers.
