Rich Pearson
Done a bit of a search but couldn't find anything conclusive, just wanting general opinions of what people ride in footwear wise. So for anyone with a bit of spare time...... 1. What shoes do you wear when riding? 2. How long would you say they last? 3. Whats the ankle support like/is there any? 4. Soles: grippy or not that grippy? Cheers chaps Rich

PeanuckleJive
1. What shoes do you wear when riding? DC shoes, not sure on the model name 2. How long would you say they last? Forever it seems, they're still going strong after about a year and a half 3. Whats the ankle support like/is there any? None 4. Soles: grippy or not that grippy? Pretty grippy to me, but I've never really used anything else so can't really compare
Simpson
1. What shoes do you wear when riding? Reebok Classics (for the most part in not too picky at all!) 2. How long would you say they last? Forever they generally go from the top first, so they only get ruined from proper nasty ass over tit bails. 3. Whats the ankle support like/is there any? They cut off just under the ankle, but they do help to prevent ankle roll to a certain extent but not entirely 4. Soles: grippy or not that grippy? Grippy'ish... depends on loads of factors, pedals, blah, how new they are, but with cage pedals the toe is a perfect fit for a platform, perfect sole, hard but not too hard. craigjames
You know what myself and Joe wear mate, 1. What shoes do you wear when riding? Salomon Speedcross 2 2. How long would you say they last? They still look pretty damn solid after 6 months or so of abuse, can see them lasting a year. 3. Whats the ankle support like/is there any? Not a massive amount (but i'm not having any issues with them so they can't be too bad), lots of support for your heel, arch etc, almost like a running shoe/climbing shoe mix 4. Soles: grippy or not that grippy? Awesome on anything, stratodabs at comps are not at issue!
ginger allen echo
1. What shoes do you wear when riding? Nike Dunk highs 2. How long would you say they last? Grippy enough. only slipped off the pedals when my feet weren't properly on the pedals Edited April 25, 2010 by ginger allen echo
davey1991
Done a bit of a search but couldn't find anything conclusive, just wanting general opinions of what people ride in footwear wise. So for anyone with a bit of spare time...... 1. What shoes do you wear when riding? Adio Chris robberts / Kenny GT 2. How long would you say they last? 3-6 months. 3. Whats the ankle support like/is there any? Chris robberts poor, Kenny's ok acctually. 4. Soles: grippy or not that grippy? Almost to grippy in both cases. Revolver
1. What shoes do you wear when riding? Normally the shimano AM40 2. How long would you say they last? I dunno, I've only had one pair, it doesn't seem to be worn too much though. 3. Whats the ankle support like/is there any? No more than an ordinary shoe, really. 4. Soles: grippy or not that grippy? They turn shit pedals into grippy pedals, that's how grippy they are - you can't slide your foot on the pedals to change position, you have to take your foot off. Ash-Kennard
ribos probably nearly 2 years, torn, battered and worn out now good support, havent rolled an ankle or anything not bad even when slick which i guess is because of the compound
Mission Prodigy Trials.
Nike 6.0 Air Mogan Mid's. Not sure on How long they last as they are not too old. The Ankle support is awesome as they are MidTops. The soles are quite grippy in the dry but a little slippy in wet.

Ages, think last pair went for well over a year 3. Whats the ankle support like/is there any? None 4. Soles: grippy or not that grippy? Whats the ankle support like/is there any? Bit of support as they're mid tops. 4. Soles: grippy or not that grippy? Very grippy. The pedal pins have worn their way through, so my feet are always sat in the same place.
