Sponge
I can't believe I forgot to mention this.. Back when I ran an Onza Zoot frame, my front end was far too low (my steerer was really short!) so to get a higher front end I put on a mod Viz Welded stem - 150X 30 - and it rode so trialsy it was unbelieveable! More so than my stock did, which really surprised me! EDIT: I couldn't manual or bunnyhop it though, so switched back to my 24UK. Ahh, really? This is something I've been wanting to hear. Did the big stem totally kill bunnies and manuals then? As in, it just wouldn't pull up without a fight?
cai
Exactly, it completely ruined the 'flick-ability' of the bike.
Sponge
Well, I tried applying the theory of wacking high stems on stocks to make them lift easier, for this. I think height/rise of the front end alone will help my cause, but still, the length is somewhat a concern. Would a high, but stubbier stem just make the bike feel like cack maintaining backwheel control and leverage/power for gaps/ups?
Sponge
TMS 120x30mm, hmm ...
mr.tattoo
i tried standard zoot stem and a high long stem bike either felt street or trialsy, settled with the 110x20 trialtech and its a nice balance still easy to spin and hop but feels nice for hop ups etc. the longer stem felt horrible imo
