rab shropshire
some say it was designed around 18-15, and other places 18-16 to achieve correct chain tension, just wondering if any one on here knows
onzatrip
2 of my mates had controls rob. Bessel and chris hinson i know bessels was a short and ran 18-15 and was fine wiht a standard chian. Chris's is a long and runs 18-15 but with a half link but im 99% sure would be fine with a normal chain.
Canardweb
OH GOD! If you don't want to buy some Brake clamps to have more adjustment (Try alls or TNN) then go for 18-16. Otherwise you will brake on your tire... So now you know! I had an echo Control 2009 and my chain was slack so that my brake could be aligned with the rim... even though I had some Try-all clamps and a brand new chain... I was riding 18-15. N.Wood
Set mine up just now on 18:15 with a 2 month old chain and standard maggie mounts, works fine but could do with another 5mm travel in brake mounts. Running a DK so clearance is tight like a tiger.
Rob L
I have the short with 18:15 and echo sl clamps and a trialtech lite chain (reccomended to me by tartys) and it works fine, however i like the echo tr clamps better.
