ogre
cause stocks are ace + don't need to over compensate
rab shropshire
the older monty stock bikes used to have a 25" back wheel
modifiedridah2k9
go on tarty and they tell u why. its basically because rear wheels on mods have to be grippy to sidehop and mostly bounce around. lol
TROYston
Actually, its a 18" + 17", where as stock is 24-25". Correct me if im wrong.
Alex Dark
To accomodate the masseive rear tyre the rim diameter was changed to give the same effective diameter for both wheels including tyre. This was attempted for stock by Monty with their 25" rear wheel, but this never really caught on. Probably due to riders reluctance to stop using high volume MTB tyres which more than suffice, whereas with mod there are no real suitable tyres other than real trials specifics
philgresty
Actually, its a 18" + 17", where as stock is 24-25". Correct me if im wrong. 26" and 20" refers to circumference not diameter
