Ross McArthur
Hey peeps, I went to see Kick Ass last night. It was brilliant!! It’s Funny, dark and "action packed". I'm no film critic but from what I could tell, it’s a cross between Super bad, Kill Bill and your favourite film of all time! YOU HAVE TO SEE IT!! (To quote the bill boards) Anyone who has seen it, what’s your view?
sean/pashley
Im no film critic either so i'd say you were bang on with it being like superbad and kill bill. Deffinatly the best film ive seen in ages. And its pretty funny hearing an 11 year old say the c word.
anzo
The trailers I've seen looked alright, Rotten Tomatoes reviews are up to 95% but I can't help but think it's a bit overhyped. Just seems very over the top American - just like how most people rate American Pie as their greatest film, I just never understood why. Worth going to see it if I dislike over the top Americanization? I liked Super Bad in bits, but didn't like Kill Bill.

It has all the best bits of Super Bad and takes the absolute pish out of Kill Bill (mostly on behalf of Hit Girl)!! Maybe thats what I should have said. Americanization, yes but in a comic way, slapped in the face with some "ooft that was a bit close to the bone" drama.
craigjames
Its pure genius, saw it last night, really want to see it again.
F-Stop Junkie
Errr, you do know it's a British film, right? Anyway, wouldn't have said it was specifically Kill Bill (and I don't think there's any good bits of Superbad...) but lots of nods to both sci-fi/fantasy comic properties as well as movies like The Matrix. And it's very, very good!
Rusevelt
Im sure its good but, its not the kinda thing i wanna see from the king of cult movie. Quentin Tarantino, seems to getting soft in his old age, and has conceded to hand over the mantle to Guy Richie.
F-Stop Junkie
Rusevelt, who do you think did Kick-Ass? Do you think it's a Tarantino flick?
anzo
Ah, turns out it is a British film....well that changes everything!

Matthew62
Yeah - he's got red hair now and is married to Jonathan Ross.
Ross McArthur
Mathew Vaughn directed it. Jane Goldman (Jonathon Ross' wife) wrote the screen play.
Matthew62
So Tarantino isn't married to Rossy?
totaltrials
What a film. At first I thought it was going to be a bit tacky and cheesey with kids trying to be lil ninjas dresses as super heros. But my god it was propper good and really funny, it's just one big joke but you kind of knew that while watching it so it worked.
