MikeCottTrials
They work absolutely fine, just remember to tighten the jubilee before the bolt

PaRtZ
cheers for the comments, what happens if you don't tighten it first? if you clamp the bolt, and then try ro tighten the jubilee clip, you wont get a good grip becuase the mount is pivoting against the slave piston... whereas tighten the jubilee clip first compresses that side leaving the sturdier bolt to do its job

Alright cheers, it's worked fine. Tar for the help lads. Let's just hope it'll stay like that until a new frame or tapping.
Ollie Histon
another little tip is to put the screw bit on the inside of the frame otherwise it chews away at your ankle
Captain Scarlet
Or Helicoil the thread? Through a local engineer mine worked out cheaper to helicoil than to buy jubilee clips.
Julius Czar
Have you tried using a longer bolt? Like a booster bolt, just put the spacers on, then the bolt reaches further down into the remaining thread, and grips on, works a treat. It's good for a temporary fix, but you can only undo and tighten it back up it a few times before it threads again, then you have to helicoil it, or use a jubilee clip. Kieran. Sam Styles
this happened to me on my old frame, but i drilled through my frame. put a long bolt through the clamp and through the frame and then double bolt the end of it. works perfectly and its a more permanent fix
