rab shropshire
Just a bit of friendly advice on getting ffw and screw on cogs of your cranks. Go to a motorcycle scrap yard and buy a broken fork leg (around £5) and use it for extra leverage over the crank arm. I looked around everywhere for a bit of pipe big enough to fit over my cranks and a fork leg is perfect. I know most people allready do have some kind of extra leverage, but I just thought i would stick this up here incase anyone has problems removing freewheels and cogs. rab shropshire
i tryed a rather large hammer before and ended up with very bent cranks. but you are right in saying that large bangs make beautiful music
psycholist
Hammering will tend to bend or break things - what you need is loads of torque. Get the longest lever you can find and apply controlled force to it and you can unscrew just about anything and do it safely.
