Luke Rainbird
Rainbird is my manager and will arrange royalties if you would like the continued use of the name. Luke Rainbird is in no way affiliated with Jarrod Mardell and wishes to make it very clear that this is not currently, has never been and will never be the case.
omgnoseat
That fifty6 logo is looking nice and clean, I like it. On the subject of logo design. Was visiting the girlfriends family in Cheshire and one of her uncles talked about started his own furniture business (He does it at the moment but doesn't have an identity or anything) So I offered to have a go at doing him a logo. He said how he wanted to aim it a bit upper-class as its the kind of people he usually works with and he thinks his work is of that standard. Now i'd not really designed anything for that kind of look before but gave it a bash anyway. I know its simply a typographic logo and there's not much to it but I like it. What do you guys think? Larger version It really communicates the "upper class" feeling, it looks classy! No gimmicks. good job As for the whole thingy about JD's logo. There is simple and there's plain, and yours feel plain. There is nothing in the logo that communicates any elements about your company. It's a big improvement from the previous logo though! Max Quinn
JD- Was cool to see that logo go from something that was, to be honest about it, turd, to something really cool that's a lot more subtle and has a more thought out reference to the company, nice one. Cheers man Just realised I never actually put the finished article up here... Thanks massively to Matt for putting up with me wanting to try various things, coupled with showing me just how anal it's possible to be about spacings Edited September 17, 2011 by JDâ„¢
dann2707
Awesome! I can really see the guy hugging the letters now, before it didn't seem apparent at all.

Tony Harrison
That's decent. National Geographic always have interesting ways of graphically presenting data - if you're not a reader, take a look at a couple of issues.
Has anyone seen my shoe?
Been a long time since I posted but I'm actually looking for someone to design me a couple of things and I specifically remembered people in this thread hahaha. If anyone is interested then please do get in touch. I'm not against paying for work as long as it is of a standard I deem high enough to pay for. Has anyone seen my shoe?
Right so first of all I represent a gaming organisation and the logo is as follows. Looking for a bit of a revamp, something a bit more up to date. The green colour is associated with the main sponsor so has to stay. The main sponsor also have a Lion and a Wolf as smaller trademarks of their business so they could potentially be incorporated. The logo will be getting printed onto shirts, hoodies and other apparel so I don't know if that makes a difference. The second is a logo for myself as "Shoeless Productions". Black and Orange is the theme I went for and I'm looking for a typeface that is once again clean but relatively "jovial" I guess you could say as well as somehow adding in a little design into the type perhaps. Anything you can do is much appreciated

weirdoku
Since there's no RSQ any more this place is more suitable for my question. Should I include something that has been featured in a website in my CV? I had something I made last year for uni featured in the Cult of Mac website, which is quite known. If I should what's the correct way? Something like "name of article" featured in cultofmac.com May 2011? omgnoseat
I've just finished a simple game that I made for a competition. I had only 7 days and it was a solo project, so had to do all the programming and art myself. http://www.agbic.com/discussion/79/entry-heart-garden#Item_1 I'm not sure if it's entertaining, but if I don't share it with the world I would have been making this for nothing haha. davey1991
I've got these 2 basic designs for work made up. Now these will potentially be used on signs and letter heads but they just don't look professional enough for me. I think i'm on the right lines but could do with a hand jazzing them up a bit. Please don't think i'm cheeky asking.
JDâ„¢
Im not a designer, but I'm bored. From first impressions, those 2 ideas look worlds apart. Does your company deal with lorries or racecars? From a marketing perspective, you want to think of a brief, and that comes from thinking about your ideal client. You need to step outside of the bubble of your company, forget about what you think your company represents. Instead, think of your ideal client, and then try to be them. Then you can imagine what that person would most like to see when they first see anything to do with your company - the logo. Too many businesses try to force ideas onto their potential clients through subtleties in their logos, when all it really needs to do is give an idea that you're exactly what they're looking for... That probably doesn't help at all, but I thought I'd jot it down for those in the know to build on.
weirdoku
To add to what JD said, you've got soft looking edges on the truck with text in a rectangle that has a very solid edges. The text in both don't match either.
