It's the same as going for more expensive frame for more performance and lightness. I payed 50 pounds for rain king and I love it, actualy makes me ride better!I would love to found out how the new rear 26 try-all tyre handle compared to rainking/kaiser. Is there any of tartyman going to test those babes out (lets not point fingers at Stan and Ali) Although the front looks like going to last half time of the old one for double the price... (Any tyre.. e.g. Minion, original Try-All, Rubber Queen) And also, there's probably a decentish reason for this, but how come the 19" tyre didn't get the same kevlar sidewall upgrade? I know it's light already... but they could've put kevlar bead in it like a BMX tyre and their 26 versions. Schwalbe makes a very light racing front tyre... for BMX racing, and its got tread, and works out lighter than the tryall... But is it anywhere near as grippy? So i doubt this Schwalbe tyre is any worse. It being a 60a tyre doesn't mean it'll perform the same as another company's 60a tyre though. It's also a totally different tread pattern, carcass, etc., so it's not really comparable at all. In terms of grip, on tech natural stuff you need a super grippy front tyre in pretty much all conditions, so I'd rather not sacrifice that at all, personally. I also wouldn't particularly trust the Echo front tyre for proper natural either, even though some people seem to find it's alright for street.
