FINDUS
is there a problem if your brake's disc is rusted? will it affect the brake in anyway. if you want to, please validate me.that would be great I used my downhill bike in the snow and the pads and rotors went rusty, the pads ended up cracking and became useless and the rotor met my friend mr angle grinder to take the rust off and are now in perfect use. Main thing is to make sure your pads are ok could be life or death!! as to the validation you should remove that before people see it as its as it will lower your chance of getting validated! just carry on with the good topics and stick to the rules and it will happen faster than you know! Puddin
If the rust is only on the braking surface this isn't a problem and it will come off as soon as you use the brake a couple of times.

Tru that... Just ride it around a bit, maybe chuck some water on to get rid of the iron oxide build up. If the rotor is visibly pitted, a replacement would be your best bet
