shetlandtrialsrider
Hi I have recently gotten a new chain for my Onza T-rex , I have fitted it to the bike but it keeps jumping of the front sprocket. The two sprockets look to be inline, but the wheels of the tensioner look a little bit off compared to the two sprockets could this be the problem or is there anything else should check for? Cheers, James Edited March 20, 2010 by shetlandtrialsrider
josh barker
make sure you have enough chain wrap, i would consider if you have had the sprokets on the bike long to replace them as they wear and stretch a bit which causes the chain to engage in the sprocket in-correctly. TROYston
Wrong chain size ?
Revolver
Chains and sprockets wear together. Putting a new chain on old sprockets can cause skipping purely because it's not worn to the sprockets. It should stop after a while, but the alternative is to get a new front and rear sprocket. Rusevelt
Sounds like the chain tensioner needs re-alignment with the rear sprocket.
