pashley-phil
I'm not very clued up on laptops and stuff. But i'm looking to buy a new laptop this weekend. I only want to spend around £400 or less. (but can go more if i have to.) Can someone recommend a laptop for that price that will be good? It's only going to be used for internet and emails, photos and music, not games. So can someone help me please cheers phil
JT!
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/177000 If you're looking for a laptop for the very basic stuff you can't really go wrong. I'd just head to ebuyer, sort by price and see which one takes your fancy. Edited March 20, 2010 by JT!

NVWOCI WVS
I payed £450 for my Sony VAIO about 18 months ago. It was a really high spec, but a reoplacement model had just been brought out, so it was massively reduced. I know PCWorld are generally shit, but there are bargains to be had. I'm now on a Packard Bell notebook, which I'm actually really impressed by. It's really fast, it can handle pretty demanding CAD software, and programmmes like photoshop really well, and it has a really nice monitor aspect ratio at 1366x768. I think I paid about £480 for it, again on offer at PC world. Better spec than anything I could find online for the same money.
Adam L
Is this worth the money, i'm looking to spend about £500 on a new laptop and was wondering if i can get better for the price. Sorry to invade the topic but i figured it wasn't worth starting a new one Sony Vaio - Ebuyer
BeNNy
You should look at the laptops in John Lewis, cos they give you 2 year free warranty
Muel
I'd recommend a 13", I have a 10" netbook, and i've found that 15" laptops are too big and heavy to lug around all the time, and the battery life isn't ideal, so I reckon a 13" would be about right. I'd rather stick to a netbook myself, but I need it to be as light and portable as possible, and have a massively long battery life. The downside is they're slow as f**k.
