bikejunkieny
I'm just curious on what the pros and cons of each bike. I have a 20in Zoo Python 07. Please leave your opinion. Thanks!
Puddin
It's all down to what you prefer the feel off however a riser bar will make the bike feel slightly longer and giver a slightly higher front end. But all riser feel slightly different! Not sure but might be easier to make a strong and light flat bar?
chris4stars
type "flat or riser bars" in the search on here.... i only found around 7 topics either identical or similar on the first of 4 pages maybe you can do a little better
Alex Dark
No cons to riser bars... To quote OBM " I've never been on a bike that's felt worse with risers" Viz pro720, Try-all Nowar, Monty 221ti.....pick one of the preceding and purchase

Viz Logic flat bars are sweet. Super wide and loads of sweep is a great combination. But it'll depend on riding position and shoulder/ arm lengths. I've always found, Flats are good if the bike spends the majority of time on the back wheel.
chris4stars
That's personal preference, and you know it. way to point out the obvious ?! reading the countless topics before, there is a general bias towards riser bars, especially as of late though as pointed out, OBM's comment is a personal preference...from someone who gets a chance to ride pretty much every bike available at the minute, as well as previous models, it carries a fair amount of weight

As far as I see it, the general consensus is riser bars. Nearly everyone runs them and this must be for a good reason surely.

Sam Styles
at the moment, i am running flat bars. i havent got a problem with them apart from the fact they are uncomfy to ride long distances on. i did have a pair of risers before but i snapped them . to be honest i am not bothered what type of bar i run, flat or riser, but some risers feel really strange. You cant go wrong with a set of flat bars, but if you are going to buy risers, then i recomend to buy a pair that you know you like the feel of.
